The taste of malt dominates, not only when drunk. Towards the middle, bitter substances come into play, and the interaction results in a very drinkable beer for a hearty snack.
Flinderer Tradition: In Pegnitz there is an old tradition (since 1728) that not only gives us beer lovers pleasure: the Flinderer. Every week from April to June a different restaurant invites you to stop by. In front of the restaurant hangs a bush of twigs, together with a pig's bladder and colourful ribbons, which blink and twirl in the sun. Typical for this period is the palatable Flinderer beer, which is brewed by the two breweries in Pegnitz (Jura/Brauervereinigung Böhmeim). In addition, hearty Franconian homemade dishes (from the local butcher's shops) are served at very moderate prices.
Real tradition and therefore a clear recommendation from us! Be sure to try!
