Products from Hönicka Bräu
In the festival town of Wunsiedel in the beautiful Fichtel Mountains, Hönicka-Bräu is as much a part of life as the Luisenburg Festival, which takes place in Germany's oldest open-air theater. Since 1778, the private brewery has been producing wonderfully spicy and aromatic top-class beers that are known far beyond the town's borders.
Hönicka - From the region for the region
Master of good taste and at the brew kettle is brewmaster Andreas Purucker. He brews the small, fine beer assortment of Hönicka-Bräu with the highest quality ingredients and raw materials from the region. Not only because the brewery is a regional family business, but also because you can taste what goes into the beer. Brewing at Hönicka is, of course, carried out in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law, tried-and-tested brewing traditions and state-of-the-art technology. Hops, malt, water and yeast alone are not enough to produce beers with such an extraordinary character. Two secret ingredients are also added to the tank and brewing kettle: Passion and experience. These are what Andreas Purucker brings to the table. He perfects and refines previous recipes, creates new brews, optimizes techniques and processes, experiments with maturation times, and quite honestly. You can simply taste it. Whether it's Wunsiedler Weissbier, Hönicka Landbier or Luisenburg Pils - the beers from Hönicka-Bräu are not only of top quality, but also have a really strong character. The best example: Wonnesud, our favorite Hönicka beer. Brewed with exclusively dark special malts. These also give the beer its very dark color and, in addition, a full-bodied, spicy roasted flavor. A drinkable beer with addictive potential - simply delicious.
Own brewery restaurant - the Ratsstuben Wunsiedel
The Ratsstuben in Wunsiedel is a cozy, traditional Franconian restaurant. Here, in the brewery pub of Hönicka-Bräu, you can enjoy a delicious meal, a freshly tapped beer and Waafn. In other words, you can have a lively conversation or chat with each other. On the menu are typical Franconian dishes such as homemade bread, crispy Schäuferla, Blaue Zipfel or freshly prepared roasts. In the summer months, an idyllic beer garden outside invites you to take a break. Yes, a visit to Wunsiedel can be that simple and beautiful. By the way, it's only a few hundred meters from the brewery to the restaurant....
