The village of Schönbrunn is located in the middle of the beautiful Fichtelgebirge mountains. Here, Jürgen Hopf, owner and brewmaster of Lang Bräu now in the sixth generation, brews Franconian beer of the finest quality with his sons Rudolf and Richard. With spring water from their own well, which - unlike many other breweries - is not artificially treated, with the highest quality barley and wheat malt from Upper Franconian malt houses, with the best aroma hops from the Hallertau, with self-bred pure yeast cells and with a lot of passion. You can taste that the Hopfs have been brewing for more than 160 years. And you can also taste that brewers with a lot of brewing knowledge and experience are at work here. Every Lang beer has a unique character. That has always been the case. Traditions - including the Franconian brewing tradition - have been preserved by the family business and this treasure will certainly be passed on to the next generation. Currently, Lang Bräu produces a five-digit hectoliter output per year, making it one of the leading private breweries in Upper Franconia. In order to be able to supply top-quality beer in the future, even with increased demand, Lang Bräu recently invested in a state-of-the-art bottling plant.
Brewer with a passion
That's Jürgen Hopf. His favorite beer? The erotic beer. Stimulating, tangy, quaffable - naked madness. In the truest sense of the word. Because beer doesn't just quench your thirst. Beer brewed with passion and in a very special way also makes you sexy and irresistible. This is the brewmaster's conviction. At regular intervals, Jürgen Hopf brews his love potion, dressed only in a leather apron, at night in the brewhouse... Sounds incredible? Tastes like it, too. Not only the people of Schönbrunn think so, but now also erotic beer fans all over the world. Franconia's best Doppelbock - Lang Bock Hell - will soon be known throughout Europe. This has just been awarded the European Beer Star Silver.
Eat well in the Bräustüberl, sleep well in the Stüberl
Sounds just cozy, and it is. The brewery inn is not far from the brewery, is like a second home to many Schönbrunn residents and is the favorite place of many Schönbrunn guests. A traditional house from the 18th century, with niches and corners, cozy benches and an imposing barrel vault. Here you feel like you're in heaven on earth - not least thanks to the incredibly delicious cuisine. And in the summer months? You can sit comfortably in the cozy beer garden and then stay overnight in the Stüberl. In one of the lovingly furnished rooms in a modern country house style. Simply to feel good.
