Schanzenbräu Brewery is located at Proeslerstr. 3 in 90431 Nuremberg - Höfen. Schanzenbräu is a beer brewery that, in addition to limited and changing special beers, carries its main varieties of red beer, Helles and Kehlengold in its range.
In January 2016, the new brewery building in Nuremberg-Höfen was completed, and production of the main and special varieties began with the new brewing plant. At the groundbreaking ceremony, i.e. the official starting signal for the brewery construction site in April 2015, former mayor Dr. Maly and Stefan Stang from the Verband Private Brauereien Bayern e.V. were among those present. The tank farms were increased in 2018 in order to be able to brew other special beers in addition to the main varieties. Back in 2004, the first brew was made in the cellar of a backyard workshop on Bärenschanzstraße - and that's how the brewery's name and logo came about. At that time, the brew was mashed in old wash kettles, and beer barrels that had been sawn open were converted into fermenting vats.
