The dark, old Frankish farmer beer of the Held-Bräu from Oberailsfeld is dark, full-bodied and malty. In the glass a feast for the eyes with dark red, almost black, colour and a long lasting foam crown. The smell is over and over impregnated with caramel, the drink is nicely lively, the first seconds are dominated by a fine sweetness, which does not seem exaggerated.
